Bhopal: Young girls welcomed the “Namami Devi Narmade”- Seva Yatra with flower showering as soon as it reached Jaamkota gram panchayat from Gulgaon in khandwa district. Finance Minister Jayant Malaiyya welcomed a young girl considering her as ‘Lakshmi” and gave her a gift.
Malaiyya performed pujan of the Narmada Seva Yatra flag. Soon as Malaiyya applied tilak on the nine Kanyas and performed their puja, people started chanting ‘Narmade Har’. Young girls performed Saraswati Vandana through a dance performance.

Madhya Pradesh Gau-palan Evam Samvardhan Board Chairman Mahamandleshwar Akhileshwaranand Ji Maharaj said that Ma Narmada has done a favour to all. Today we have got the opportunity to return her favour. All should support and participate in the Yagya of her conservation. Sant Krishnand Ji Maharaj from Bengaluru, Sadhvi Manjudas, MLA Lokendra Singh Tomar also took part in the Yatra.

Malaiyya said during the Jan Samvad that he is overwhelmed by the welcome accorded by the children in this village. This yatra was started with the pious objective of conservation of Ma Narmada. He said that yatra turned into a jan-yatra with the support of the villagers. He urged the villagers that every individual should plant one tree on the bank of the Narmada. Girls presented a dance based on the ‘Madhya Pradesh Gaan’.-WTN
