AUG 26 (WTN) - In view of the risk of life from terrorist and naxalite attacks, some special people in India get security from the Indian Government. In view of the possible threat to VIPs from terrorists and naxalite, they are provided security at different levels by the Government. In view of the danger, which type of security is to be provided to a person is decided by the Government. For your information, let you know that on the basis of information given by intelligence departments, different categories of security are provided to VIPs.

For your information, let you know that the Indian Army is responsible for the security of the President of India. At the same time, the SPG remains responsible for the security of the current Prime Minister of India, former Prime Ministers and their families. At the same time, security is provided to VIPs on the basis of information about how much they are threatened by terrorists and naxalite.VIP security is divided into four levels. First comes Z Plus (Z +) protection, which is considered the highest level of security after the SPG. This is followed by the Z, Y and X category security.

As far as the SPG security is concerned, it is the highest level of security in the country. This protection is given to the current Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers and their family members. SPG's full farm is Special Protection Group. The SPG was formed on 2 June 1988 by an Act of the Parliament of India. It’s headquartered is in New Delhi and is one of the special security forces of the center. The SPG personnel are selected from the Police and Paramilitary Force. The SPG is under the Ministry of Home Affairs and the force is one of the most professional and sophisticated security forces in the country.

The SPG personnel are armed. The SPG commandos are deployed under the Prime Minister's security also wear a light weight bulletproof jacket for their protection. You must have seen that SPG commando wears special glass on his eyes. This glass protects them from any attack on the eyes. The SPG protection is at three levels. In the event of an attack, the first level suffers an attack; the second level takes the Prime Minister or his family to a safe place in the event of an attack, while the third level goes for counter attacks.

In fact, the responsibility of the security of the Prime Minister was earlier held by a special team of Delhi Police. But after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in October 1984, it was reviewed that the Prime Minister of the country should be given protection under a special group. After this, on 18 February 1985, the Ministry of Home Affairs set up the Birbal Nath Committee and in March 1985 the Birbal Nath Committee submitted the recommendation for the formation of a Special Protection Unit (SPU). The SPG came into existence in the country only after recommendations.

Let us now tell you what Z + protection is? After the SPG security, Z-Plus category security is the second most stringent security system in the country. In this security system, 55 security personnel are deployed for protection. These 55 security personnel have more than 10 NSG commandos. Police officers are also involved in this security system. The first enclosure in Z + security is the responsibility of the NSG commandos, while the second enclosure is the responsibility of the SPG commandos. Apart from this, ITBP and CRPF personnel also remain in the Z-Plus security category. For your information, let you know that there are also escorts and pilot vehicles in Z + security.

The Z security comes after Z Plus. A total of 22 security guards are deployed, including four to five NSG commandos in Z security. It also includes commandos of Delhi Police, ITBP or CRPF and local policemen of the respective state.

Y-class security is the third level of security in the country. This security consists of 11 security personnel, including two NSG commandos. At the same time, two security personnel are deployed in X class security, which includes a PSO (Personal Security Officer). No commando is involved in X-class security.
