Know the legitimacy of Nepal's claim on the Kalapani region of Uttarakhand

NOV 09 (WTN) - India and Nepal are two countries, which have not only historical relationship but also have mutual relations with the mythological period. Geographically, Nepal's position has always been beneficial to India, as Nepal serves as a buffer state between the two superpowers like India and China. By the way, since ancient times, there have been close relations between India and Nepal. But since the Communist Party came to power in Nepal, the Government of Nepal's attitude is becoming anti-India. According to the experts, Nepal is gradually becoming a puppet of China, working on anti-India policies at the behest of China. This is why because China is about to launch several big projects in Nepal.

Nepal has been saying from time to time that it has close relations with India. But gradually due to the close proximity of China and anti-India policies, Nepal has now started opposing many activities of the Indian Government. In this episode, Nepal has lodged a protest on the new political map of the country released by the Government of India. For your information, let us know that after the reorganization of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has released a new political map, which Nepal has objected to.

In fact, the Government of India in its new political map has described Kalapani in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state as being included in the Indian Territory and Nepal has objected to it. In this regard, the Foreign Ministry of Nepal says, "It is completely clear from the Government of Nepal that the Kalapani region is an integral part of Nepal. We are fully committed to safeguarding Nepal's international border and for this, we will adopt a path of diplomatic dialogue with friendly countries. ”For your information, let us know that the round of discussion on the border dispute between India and Nepal continues.

Nepal's Foreign Ministry is slowly getting entangled in the debt trap of China, says in the Kalapani case, "The common committee of Nepal and India's foreign ministers level gave the foreign secretary of the two countries the responsibility to resolve the unresolved border dispute.  The border disputes between the two countries should be resolved by bilateral negotiation and consent and any unilateral action is not acceptable to the Government of Nepal.”

For your information, let us know that after the formation of two new union territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the Government of India released a new political map of India, in which Kalapani in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state is shown in the Indian Territory. But Nepal is objecting to this, as Nepal shows Kalapani as a part of the Dharchula district in its political map. There has been a response from the Foreign Ministry of Nepal on the Kalapani case, but there has been no solid response from the Indian Government.

For your information, let you know that Pakistan has expressed opposition before Nepal on the new political map of India. On the new map of India, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said in its statement, "Pakistan completely rejects the new political map of Jammu and Kashmir showing Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of Kashmir under its occupation under Indian jurisdiction.”

In fact, Pakistan, which has been defeated by the successful diplomacy of the Modi Government on every platform in the world on Article 370, wants to attract the attention of the entire world once again by objecting to the new map of India. On the new political map of India, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry says, "The map released by India on 2 November is incorrect, illegal and invalid and is a complete violation of the UN Security Council resolutions. Pakistan rejects these political maps, which do not match the UN map.”

At the same time, people of the Kalapani area have something else to say about the dispute of Kalapani. The region which Nepal is claiming has nothing to do with Nepal. According to local people, Chhangru, Nepal's last village bordering the Indian border is also located at a distance of 17 km from Kalapani. Along with Chhangaru, people of the Ran community live in Tinker village, located on the China border.

The most special thing, in this case, is that during the time of the monarchy in Nepal, the then king of Nepal had given the land of Kalapani area in the name of Garbyal and Gunjyal families and it is said that their documents are still present in Gunji village. The area beyond Gunji to Kalapani and Lipulekh is uninhabited. The distance from Kalapani to Lipulekh is about 15 km, where the huge passes and hills are located. Whereas from here, Sitapul is located in the Kali River near Garbyang towards Dharchula and through this bridge, there is movement between India and Nepal. The special matter is that the Nepalese authorities also have to enter Nepal from this Sitapul of India to see their border with India and China.

That is it is clear from the talk of the people of Kalapani and the nearby the area that the objection being lodged by Nepal on showing Kalapani in the Indian Map is baseless. It is being claimed on the basis of the documents that the king of Nepal himself gave the land of the Kalapani region in the name of Garbial and Gunjyal families. Now it has to be seen that after the objection of the Government of Nepal on the display of Kalapani in the political map of India, do some official statements come to the Government of India and how long does this dispute arising out of this Nepal end?
