Markets open on a positive note on Wednesday

Mumbai March 1 (IANS) The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 28 849.04 points touched a high of 28 894.85 and a low of 28 824.17 points.

On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 28 743.32 points.

The Sensex is trading at 28 868.40 points up by 125.08 points or 0.49 per cent.

On the other hand the broader 51-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8 904.40 points after closing at 8 879.60 points.

The Nifty is trading at 8 917.20 points in the morning.
