MoS Sarang Presides Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Advisory Committee’s Meeting
Bhopal: Minister of State for Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation (Independent Charge) Vishwas Sarang said that major operations will be performed by Specialist doctors with advance equipments through outsource upgrading operation theatres of Gas relief hospitals. Sarang was addressing the Advisory Committee’s meeting of the department . MLA Chetram was present in the meeting.
Sarang informed that Health Department is planning to take services of specialists and senior doctors in government hospitals on outsourcing basis. Gas relief hospitals will also be included in the scheme to enable gas victims to get high quality treatment and to perform necessary operations with advance equipments. Sarang directed that doctors should visit patients in gas relief hospitals in evening also. He said that hospital superintendents must ensure doctors visit in evening and should conduct surprise inspection.
It was informed that free medical treatment of gas victims and their children are being provided through 6 hospitals, 9 day-care centers and 9 dispensaries of Indian Medical treatment method. Moreover decision to take facilities of CT Scan, MRI, Mammography, Abdomen CT and Color Doppler through outsource. The 6 major hospitals of Gas Relief like Kamla Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Rasool Ahmad Siddiqui Pulmonary Medicine center, Khan Shakir Ali Khan and Lal Singh hospital have been computerized and linked to networking by the N.I.C. Health related information of all the patients visiting hospitals is available in the computer.
Moreover, bio-metric e-attendance arrangements have been made in hospitals, offices and dispensaries. A blood bank of advance level will be established at Indira Gandhi Women and Children Hospital after its renovation.-WTN
