Modi government launches a unique scheme to promote tourism in the country

JAN 29 (WTN) - If you wish to visit the tourist places of the country, then the Central Government is going to bear the cost of your visit. It is natural that after reading this, you must have been surprised, but for your information, let us know that to promote tourism among the people of the country, the Central Government has started a special program for Indian travelers. We tell you in detail about this program and how you can take advantage of it.

In fact, the Modi government has launched the "Dekho Apna Desh" program. Under this program, by the year 2022, if you travel to 15 tourist destinations in other states except for your home state within a year, the government will bear the expenses of this journey. The entire program information is given on the website of the Ministry of Tourism. Under this scheme, tourists visiting 15 destinations in a year will have to upload their travel expenses and photos on the website of the Ministry of Tourism, after which the government will pay the expenses on your trip. Explain that this scheme will remain in force till the year 2022.

Under this scheme, you can start your journey at any time, but it is necessary to complete 15 tourist places in one year. After traveling to any of the 15 tourist destinations across the country, except for home state, the details of the expenditure of the journey and the photos of the tourist destinations have been added to the website of the Ministry of Tourism https://pledge.mygov.in/my-country/ The objective of this scheme is to spread awareness among people about tourism. However, the government is not giving the expenses of tourism as an incentive but for economic benefit.

Actually, the government wants to promote tourism in the country. Lakhs of people get employment through tourism in India. In such a situation, the intention of the Modi government is that when people go to visit the tourist places, then they will spend money from shopping to hotel booking and transportation, due to which money will circulate in the market. In this way, the government wants people to spend money on traveling and shopping so that the money flow in the country's economy remains. Let us tell you that there are many countries in the world where the income due to tourism contributes significantly to the GDP. The Modi government also intends to increase tourism's contribution to GDP in India too. For your information, let us tell you that tourism has a share of 9.2 percent in the GDP of India and India earns about 17 lakh crore rupees from tourism.

At the same time, another objective of this program is that through tourism people will visit various places in the country and learn about these places. Actually, the public is very much aware of religious tourism in India, but people still rarely go to visit historical sites. There are many historical tourist places in every state of India, about which little is known to other states. In such a situation, the intention of the government is that people should go for maximum travel and learn about the diverse culture of the country so that the interaction between the people of the country will increase.
