Chief Minister Chouhan holds discussion with social organizations through video conference
Bhopal 27 March 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held discussions with representatives of social organizations, political representatives and administrative officials of all the districts of the state through video conferencing in Mantralaya today. He said that the crisis of Corona pandemic is big, but our spirits are bigger. Ending the corona virus crisis is the government’s top priority. The government will leave no stone unturned in dealing with the crisis. The society has come forward with the government to help the people. Voluntary organizations, religious organizations, industrial units etc. have come for help which is highly appreciable. All collectors should coordinate with them and continue with the help of the public.
The Chief Minister said that the supply of essential commodities like food etc. will be ensured for all the poor of the state. Arrangements for food grain supply are also being made in hostels etc. Chouhan said that on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, it would be highly virtuous deed to feed nine persons every day.
The Chief Minister said that there is no restriction on vehicles carrying food items, medicines and other items. He directed that there is no restriction on opening of medicines and grocery stores. The collectors must ensure that these shops are opened, be it in the villages or the cities. Assistance for Corona prevention should be given in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that strict action should be taken against the black marketers. Collectors can provide wheat to flour mills etc. at a price of Rs 2135 per quintal through food and civil supplies department. Food, shelter etc. of the poor can be arranged in villages with the Panch Parmeshwar fund. Collectors can also provide fair price ration to those who are not covered under PDS. Collectors may spend Red Cross funds to help Corona victims. The Chief Minister said that the government is deeply concerned about the farmers. The government is considering how to purchase wheat on support price without gathering crowd.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that collectors of border districts should take care that no person comes to the state without investigation. Harvesters must be allowed to come for harvesting but the drivers must be examined. The government has fixed Whatsapp number 8989011180 to help the people of the state, who are stuck in other states. Today as many as 11 thousand calls were received on this number. Apart from this, Corona helpline numbers 104 and 181 can also be called. The Chief Minister said that collectors should get to the people the benefit of special package given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and package given by the state in their districts. Window to News
