Corona situation improves in Gwalior and Jabalpur
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviews arrangements
Bhopal 28 March 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, during a review of corona crisis arrangements being made in the state today, instructed the officers to ensure that every poor get fair price ration free of cost for the next three months, whether he is a fair price consumer or not. Foodgrain should be made available for the labourers and for the poor who come from outside also. The Chief Minister instructed the officers to take full care during lockdown, so that the public does not face any problem.
It was informed in the meeting that a Corona positive case of Gwalior has been cured today. Similarly, the situation is improving continuously in Jabalpur also, as 6 patiants there are surviving without oxygen. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed happiness over the recovery of Corona patients in Gwalior and Jabalpur. He informed that there is a strong system of protection and treatment of Corona in the state. No stone will be left unturned in fighting against it.
Adequate testing and PPE kits
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains informed that 1600 kits of Corona virus testing are in stock in the state which will be increased to 10,000 kits in the next 3 days. A Pune-based company has been given the order for one lack kits. The lab currently has a testing capacity of 280, which will be extended soon. The PPE kits which are to be given to health workers are currently 1761 in stock, 5000 more will come today and 5000 kits will come daily for the next one week. For treatment, there are seven and a half million hydrochloroquine tablets in stock which will be 15 to 20 lakhs in the next 3 days.
Arrangements in hospitals for treatment
As many as 110 beds are ready for treatment of Corona at Gandhi Medical College, Indore. Similarly, adequate number of beds are available in RD Gardi Medical College Ujjain, Medical College Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar etc. Apart from this, arrangements will be made for Corona treatment as per requirement in private hospitals.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that poor people who do not have ration cards should also be provided PDS wheat and rice for free. Proper arrangements are being made for the poor and destitute people in the state. Flour mills are being supplied fair price wheat through collectors so that there is no shortage of flour. As per the announcement by the Central government, pulses will also be provided. In order to ensure that the poor do not face any problem in obtaining food grain, a helpdesk has been created, number is 1800 2332 797. The Chief Minister said that proper arrangements should also be made for the individuals and social organizations who want to help in providing ration to the poor people.
Strict action will be taken if goods are sold at a high price
The Chief Minister made it clear that there must be no black marketing of food items anywhere and they should not be sold at high prices, otherwise strict action will be taken against the concerned under the Essential Commodities Act. The Chief Minister said that it should also be ensured that vehicles of goods are not stopped, so that the supply chain is not affected.
Online e pass system on mobile app
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains informed that the system of issuing online passes for the convenience of citizens will be implemented throughout the state during lockdown. Through this, the district administration will issue an online pass, which will be received by the applicant on his mobile. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that a mobile app should be started immediately for health facilities and other help related to Corona. Call centers should work regularly and complaints received should be resolved promptly.
Exemption in property tax, Kisan Credit, etc. till April 30: Extend 10th, 12th board examinations
The Chief Minister said that the date for paying property tax, professional tax, Kisan Credit Card payment and fees of school colleges is extended to April 30. Similarly, the 10th and 12th examinations of Madhya Pradesh Board will be carried forward and general promotion will be given in the remaining classes.
Custom Hiring Centres should remain open
For the convenience of farmers, custom hiring centres should remain open in every district and there should be no restriction on operation of tractor, harvester, crusher etc. Also, if there is any defect in them, the facility to fix it should also be provided to the farmers. The amount of old age pension will be provided to the beneficiaries for the next 3 months simultaneously. Similarly, free gas cylinders will be provided for 3 months under the Ujjwala scheme. Ration for the next 3 months will also be provided free of cost to the poor. Window to News
