Corona control in state reviewed
Bhopal 7 July 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken the incident of leaving a Corona patient outside the hospital seriously. Terming the incident as highly unfortunate, he has ordered an inquiry into it. He said that this incident is inhuman and condemnable. Action must be taken against the guilty.

Under the Kill Corona Campaign, survey teams must reach each house. More caution is still required in Morena-Gwalior, Bhind-Shivpuri. It must be ensured that markets are not crowded. Social distancing and use of masks must remain mandatory. The tendency to spit in the open must be completely controlled.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that treatment of each patient is being ensured with the highest priority along with the work of controlling Corona in the last three and a half months. The health department staff is on the alert in every district. Covid Care Centres are functioning smoothly. In-depth review is being done from district to state level every day. Under such conditions, the incident of a critical patient being abandoned by hospital management, ambulance operator or any other person is a matter of serious concern. Chief Minister Chouhan said that strict action will be taken against those guilty in this incident.
While reviewing the Corona situation through video conference, Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the work of early identification and contact tracing of suspected Corona patients should proceed with full seriousness. The work of door-to-door sampling by the survey team under Kill Corona campaign should be increased. Chouhan said that by taking more samples, the task of controlling the virus will be easier. Samples of people with symptoms of cold and cough who appear serious must be taken during the survey and treatment should be given. Public Health and Family Welfare and Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present in the meeting.
Other districts should adopt Khandwa’s method
Chief Minister Chouhan obtained district-wise information of Covid-19 control efforts. While reviewing Khandwa district, he inquired about testing and treatment work by Khandwa Medical College. Currently, 6 patients are admitted in ICU at Khandwa Medical College. Health survey of total 41 thousand people was conducted.
Collector Khandwa informed that apart from the work of door-to-door survey under the Kill-Corona campaign in the district, health check-up of the concerned families has been conducted by identifying patients with cold-cough and fever through medical stores. This led to good results. Of the 510 people who underwent health screening, 16 positive patients were found. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this method adopted in Khandwa must be continued.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains said that the innovation of Khandwa district in monitoring of Corona virus must be adopted in other districts. He said that the way in which necessary precaution was taken after arrival of outsiders in Bhopal and contact tracing was regularized, its implementation must be continued. So far 7105 samples have been taken in Khandwa district. There are a total of 358 positive cases, of which 64 are active cases.
In a review of Khargone district it was told that only 12 percent of the available bed capacity is being utilized in Khargone. Nearly 3268 persons have been home quarantined in the district. There are 83 containment areas in the district. A total of 358 survey teams are working. There are currently 16 fever clinics operating in the district. The survey team found 103 suspected Corona patients. Along with this, information about 7 malaria and one dengue patient has also come to the fore. Contact tracing is being done. Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman issued instructions to conduct contact tracing of every positive patient. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed Collector Khargone to identify patients with symptoms on the basis of the work done in Khandwa.
In the review meeting it was informed that 1516 tests per million are being conducted in the state this fortnight. This number was only 26 in the month of April in the state. This number increased to 222, 466, 816, 878, 1204 respectively every fortnight. In the past fortnight i.e. between June 22 and July 7, this number has crossed 1500 per million.
It was informed in the meeting that about three and a half crore people have been surveyed in the state under the Kill-Corona campaign this week. So far, about 57 thousand suspects were identified during the survey, samples of 27 thousand 808 people have been taken. A total of 6 thousand 543 samples were taken on Monday.
