China's 'Dadagiri' gets 'challenge' from America

JULY 14 (WTN) - The 21st century is the century of evolutionism. But even in this century, countries like China are implementing the policy of expansionism instead of developmentalism. For your information, let's know that China has been creating border disputes with many other neighboring countries, including India. Recently, China had a border dispute with India over the LAC in the Galvan Valley of eastern Ladakh, which was followed by violent clashes between the soldiers of the two countries.

Indeed, China's leftist government with an expansionist mindset does not dispute only with neighboring countries but is also trying its best to show 'domination' on the countries bordering the maritime. Let's know that China has been trying to establish its 'dominance' in the South China Sea area for a long time. China has disputes with Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, and Taiwan in the South China Sea.

Let's know that China has been presenting its claim on this area named Nine-Dash-Line. At the same time, China is building artificial islands in the region to bolster its claims. Not only that, but China has also increased its naval presence in the last few days in the South China Sea. As increasing tensions in the South China Sea, the US, Australia, Japan, and South Korea have become cautious and aggressive with this expansionary act of China.

For your information, let's know that in 2009, China announced its claim on the Nine Dash Line of the South China Sea, but China has not presented any legal basis since then. Later on 12 July 2016, the tribunal formed under the 1982 Law of the Maritime Treaty rejected China's claim, and the tribunal ruled in favor of the Philippines.

Here, aware of the increasing aggression of China in the South China Sea, America has opened a front against China. The US has made it clear that it rejects China's claim on all the areas of the South China Sea. Let's know that the Trump administration has taken a big policy decision and made it clear that China's claim in the South China Sea has no legal basis, and China cannot unilaterally impose its will in this area.

It is clear from America's stand that it will not allow China to build its maritime empire in the South China Sea. At the same time, as usual, America is once again standing with its allies of South-east Asia. At the same time, the US has made it clear that it will protect these countries' sovereignty and their rights over resources under international law.

It is clear that the US is opposing every attempt to occupy China on the strength of power in the South China Sea or any other large area and is rejecting China's claims of expansionism. However, China has opposed the US stand. China says that the US is exaggerating the situation in the South China Sea area, causing a dispute between China and other countries.

But a large military force like America knows how to counter China's expansionism well. That is why America has made it clear that China cannot illegally lay claim to the maritime zone, whether it is the Scarborough Reef or the Special Economic Zone (EEZ) in Spartly Island. Not only this, but the US has rejected China's claim over a sea area of more than 12 nautical miles in Spartly Island. At the same time, China's claim on James Shoal, located 1000 nautical miles off the coast of China, is said illegal by the US.

Nevertheless, China is claiming all the resources in the South China Sea. At the same time, China is going on a campaign to intimidate the countries of this region to establish control over this area. While the US and other countries are in favor of continuing trade with this maritime sector as per international regulations.

Actually, this policy of expansionism in this area of China is not today's policy. China has been working in a planned manner for a long time to establish its hegemony in the region. And under this policy, China has been telling and expressing to the ASEAN countries that China is a big country while the rest of the countries are small. Now, the US has opened a front to protest against the illegal activities of China in the South China Sea, the 'cold war' between China and America may deepen in the coming times.
