Regular monitoring to be conducted with banks
CM Chouhan convenes meeting in context to Atmanirbhar Bharat Package 1 & 2
Bhopal 31 July 2020: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Package, Madhya Pradesh has to acheive No.1 position in Micro, Small and Medium Enterpreuners sector too. The pace of this work is slow in Madhya Pradesh at present. Under the Atmanirbhar Package, an amount of Rs. 21 thousand crore has already been given to the neighbouring state Uttar Pradesh for MSME sector, whereas Madhya Pradesh has only received about Rs. 2 thousand crore till now. The pace of the work should be accelerated by regular monitoring with the banks by the departments concerned, he added.
The Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the works being carried out in the state in the MSME sector under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Package 01 and 02, through video conferencing from Chirayu Hospital today. The Minister for MSME Omprakash Saklecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Manoj Govil and Principal Secretary Smt. Deepali Rastogi were present at the video conferencing.
Review progress of other states
The Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the progress of works being done by other states in MSME sector under the Atmanirbhar Package should be reveiwed to undertsand why the pace is slow in our state.
Unnecessary stamp duty should not be charged
The Chief Minister Chouhan said that it has come to the notice that unnecessary stamp duty has been charged in many cases. In this regard, the department should ensure that no unnecessary stamp duty should be charged from beneficiaries.
Send letter to Union Finance Minister
The Chief Minister Chouhan has said that a letter should be sent immediately to the Union Finance Minister in case of any difficulty being faced in implemenetation of plan or if things are not clear.
Now no global tender for loan upto Rs. 200 crore
The Chief Minister Chouhan has said that a provision has been made under the package, announced by the Centre that now there is no need for MSME for global tender for loan upto Rs. 200 crore. He directed the department concerned that formalities should be completed within the next one week in this regard.
Loan payment within 45 days
The Chief Minister Chouhan further mentioned that a provision has been under the package for payment against the loan sanctioned by the banks within 45 days to MSMEs. The Principal Secretary informed that some cases are pending with the banks for more than 45 days period. On this, Chouhan instructed that it should be ensured that payment against loan should be made within 45 days.
Mudra Shishu Loan Anudan
It is to be highlighted that under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Package, a provision has also been made for Mudra Shishu Loan Anudan to MSMEs. The Principal Secretary has informed that at present, progress is very low under Mudra Shishu Loan Anudan. The Chief Minister Chouhan directed the Chief Secretary Bains to examine, why the progress is low.
Full support of banks is must
The Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that arrangement of regular monitoring of banks at senior officers level should be made to ensure that MSME sector receives loan from banks as per the provisions within the fixed time. We can achieve desired progress only with the full support of banks, he added.
Loan distribution to begin on August 05 under Rural Street Vendors Scheme
The Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the bankers for undertaking the works in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Yojana before any other state. He said that Rural Street Vendors Scheme has also been launched in clusters of big towns and villages of Madhya Pradesh to provide loan of Rs. 10 thousand. Guarantee against loan will be given and also interest will be borne by the government. Under this scheme, registration of 8 lakh street vendors has already been done. This is a very ambitious scheme for poor. Loan distribution under the Rural Street Vendors scheme will begin in Madhya Pradesh on August 05. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development should ensure neccessary action with coodination of Banks in this context, he added – Window to News
