2017-18 gross borrowing at Rs 5.80 lakh cr: Das
New Delhi March 28 (IANS) Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das on Tuesday said that the gross borrowing for 2017-18 has been pegged at Rs 5.80 lakh crore.
Gross borrowing for FY18 has been pegged at Rs 5.80 lakh crore. Net borrowing is expected at Rs 4.2 lakh crore with Rs 75 000 crore buyback he told reporters here.
Borrowing includes repayment of previous loans and their interests.
Das said that the for the first six months of 2017-18 the gross borrowings are likely to be at Rs 3.72 lakh crore.
