Government will conduct special training programme for Covid control

Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang holds meeting related to Covid arrangements 
 
 
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang has said that the state government will hold a special training programme for Covid control. Interns, medical students, private practitioners, AYUSH doctors and nursing students will be included in this programme. Sarang was holding a meeting on Tuesday in connection with the Covid control and arrangements in Bhopal.

Minister Sarang said that about 22 private hospitals have started treatment of Covid. He said that in view of the requirement, other private hospitals should also be made Covid centres. Guidelines are being issued to hospitals to provide treatment as per the ICMR guide lines. The status of oxygen supply is being monitored. While including new hospitals, care must be taken to ensure a system of uninterrupted oxygen supply.

Minister Sarang said that out of the total capacity of 5894 beds in 61 empanelled hospitals, 1184 beds have been identified to be dedicated for Covid patients under Ayushman Yojana. Representatives of the district administration will be appointed to coordinate with each hospital. He told to start 50 beds in Hamidia Hospital soon and gave instructions to make further arrangements. While launching a 10-bed ICU in T.B. hospital, Sarang told to increase its capacity. He instructed to launch an Astha Abhiyan to improve the credibility of Hamidia Hospital.

Minister Sarang said that life-saving drugs will be made available on re-investment mode for treatment of junior doctors, who get infected. He instructed to set up a well-maintained canteen and recreation centre at Gandhi Medical College. At present, the hospitals available for treatment of Covid include Government hospital AIIMS, GMC, J.P. Hospital, Kasturba Hospital and Military Hospital and acquired hospitals including Chirayu, J.K. Hospital, Peoples, Bansal, RKDF, Bhopal Care Hospital, Care Multi Specialty, Nirmal Prem Murti Hospital, Karond Multi Specialty Hospital and ABM Hospital.

Collector Avinash Lavaniya, Dean Dr. Jitendra Shukla, CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Hamidia Superintendent Dr. I.D. Chaurasia and T.B.
