Number of Oxygen beds and ICU beds should be increased in every district
CM Chouhan reviews situation of corona and arrangements
Bhopal 16 September 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that fever clinics should be made more effective in all districts of the state. The fever clinics should regularly function every day, samples for R.T.P.C.R. test should be taken and rapid antigen test be conducted. Mobile fever clinics should also be operated. The capacity of oxygen beds and ICU beds in every district should be increased, he added.
Chief Minister Chouhan further stated that asymptomatic patients with isolation arrangement at home can stay under 'Home Isolation'. This system should be made perfect in every district. There should be a good system of daily monitoring of patients under home isolation. At present, 32 percent corona patients are under home isolation in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the state of corona and arrangements in the state at Mantralaya today. Minister for Medical Education Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman were present on the occasion.
Monitoring of ‘Home Isolation’ from Command and Control Centre
In the review of Bhopal district, the Collector informed that continuous monitoring of patients, kept under ‘Home Isolation’ is being done through ‘Command and Control Centre’. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to implement this kind of system in all the districts.
Beds capacity should be increased
Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the capacity of beds for corona patients in hospitals of every district should be increased. It was told in the review of Bhopal district that there are currently 1488 oxygen and ICU beds, which are being increased to 2201.
Daily 25 thousand tests
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that corona testing should be increased in every district. Chief Secretary Bains informed that a target has been set to conduct 25 thousand tests per day. Hundred percent patients can be recovered from the disease, by early identification and providing immediate treatment to them.
Mortality rate now 1.93 percent
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that a large number of corona patients are being discharged after the recovery. The recovery rate of the state is 74.9 percent and the fatality rate is 1.93 percent. At the same time, our testing is 21 thousand 117 per 10 lakh and the positivity rate is 5.50 percent.
State stands at 13th place in active patients and 14th in positive patients
Additional Chief Secretary Health said that Madhya Pradesh is at 13th place in terms of number of active patients and 14th in the number of positive patients in the country. As on September 15, the number of active patients was 21 thousand 620 in the state and the number of active patients on September 16 is 22136.
Highest 393 new cases in Indore
During the district-wise review, it was found that 393 new corona positives have come up in Indore district, followed by 256 new cases in Bhopal, 226 in Gwalior, 124 in Jabalpur, 85 in Narsinghpur, 82 in Khargone, 71 in Shahdol, 70 in Dhar, 63 in Katni and 59 in Ujjain.
