CM Chouhan appeals people to take precautions in view of Corona
Bhopal 14 October 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all Devi Mandirs of the state will remain open during Navratra and devotees will be able to have darshan of Mata comfortably and easily. But in view of the corona infection, the Chief Minister Chouhan has appealed to the people of the state to perform puja-archana of Mata at home as far as possible and do not assemble in crowd in the temples. At the same time, he has urged the people to follow all precautions mandatorily like wearing masks, maintaining sufficient distance between each other and to santize the hands etc. A slight negligence can become a cause for corona infection, he added.
No gathering of more than 200 people
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that no matter how big the temple premise or hall may be, there should not be a gathering of more than 200 people there at a time. In small places, the number of people gather at one time should be such, so that there is a sufficient distance between each other.
Sufficient distance between each other in queue
Chief Minister Chouhan said that temple management committees and temples administration are required to ensure that there should be enough distance between the devotees in the lines, to be made for darshan in temples.
Durga idols can be installed
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Durga idols can be installed on Navratra and there is no restriction of 6 feet height on the idols to be installed. But in setting up idols and making tableaux, full care should be taken that devotees should have darshan smoothly without halting, so that no crowd could be gathered anywhere. A cave like tableau or a tableau of such type should not be made, in which the devotees have to pass through the narrow path or by bending and which takes long time or stay in one place, he added.
Processions not allowed
Chief Minister Chouhan has said that there will be no processions on Navratra. For immersion of idols, a maximum of 10 people of the organizing committee will be able to go to the fixed immersion sites. Even in immersion, full precautions and guidelines related to it must be complied with.
Ravan Dahan allowed on Dusshera
Chief Minister Chouhan said that on the occasion of Dusshera, Ravana Dahan will be permitted and Ramlila will also be performed.
