718 hectare industrial town to be developed in Dewas development roadmap
Mini super corridor to be built at a cost of Rs 390 crores
Bhopal 27 January 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan witnessed the presentation of the five-year roadmap Dewas Vision-2021-26 at the Dewas Municipal Corporation Dewas on Wednesday. He said that the aim of the state government is to give a grand appearance to the cities, but along with this, care will be taken for business and basic facilities. Chief Minister Chouhan said that small cities should be
developed by preparing action plans of Nagar Parishads on the lines of big cities. Along with this, planned work should be undertaken in rural areas. Chief Minister Chouhan said that he will do what can be done best for the development of Maa Chamunda and Tulja Bhavani temples of Dewas.
Chief Minister Chouhan approved development of new industrial area of 718 hectare and 5.6 km long mini super corridor to be constructed at a cost of Rs 390 crore under Dewas Development Scheme. The mini corridor will connect Ujjain Road to Tata Export Indore Road. The corridor will be 45 meters wide and will be six- lane. An additional 150 meters wide residential strip will be developed in the east direction while developing an area of 150 meters on both sides.
Projects worth Rs 65 crore 90 lakhs approved
Chief Minister Chouhan approved 4
projects for Dewas development. These include flyovers connecting MR-1 to Mini Super Corridor, flyover connecting Mini Super Corridor from Kaila Devi intersection and remaining works connecting missing links.
Collector Chandramouli Shukla informed that new industrial area will be developed in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation. In this new industrial development, 400 small and big companies will come, in which 20 thousand people will be provided with full time employment. Giving approval to the entire scheme, Chief Minister Chouhan said that Dewas is an ideal place for investment.
A plan to develop the Sirsauda Potato Cluster under the Ek ZIla Ek Utpad was presented during the presentation. Under this, plots will be given to 62 potato growing farmers in 4 lakh 95 thousand 600 square meters to set up their units. The Collector informed that the left side of the railway line which is lying vacant, will be developed. A 43 meter wide corridor will be developed in this area.
