Dedication and foundation laying of development works worth Rs 505 crore in Gwalior
Bhopal 07 February 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the ‘yagya’ of development has started in Madhya Pradesh. Many plans have been made for the development of the state. A roadmap was prepared for the all-round development of Gwalior in a meeting with the district administration today. The roadmap held a detailed discussion of the city’s infrastructure development including the airport, railway station, West Ring Road, bus stand, tourism, playgrounds, international stadium along with ancient buildings. To make all these plans possible, we will make every effort to complete them in five years. He said that if needed, more plans will be made. We will make Madhya Pradesh prosperous and developed.
Chief Minister Chouhan dedicated 23 development works worth Rs 505 crore and laid foundation of 13 new construction works at Phoolbagh Gwalior on Sunday. Chief Minister Chouhan also distributed cheques worth Rs. one crore 64 lakh 28 thousand 800 to 29 beneficiaries under Madhya Pradesh Day-State Rural Livelihood Mission and other schemes.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today is the golden day in the history of Gwalior. The roadmap for the all-round development of Gwalior has been prepared and given a concrete shape. He said that the government will leave no stone unturned in undertaking the development works. He informed that for the provision of pure drinking water, the work of water supply from Chambal with Rs 270 crore is going on besides the work of a one thousand bed super specialty hospital is also going on.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Madhya Pradesh government has also started giving Rs 4 thousand as Samman Nidhi to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh in two installments. He said that despite financial crisis in Corona period, Rs 85 thousand crore has been deposited in the accounts of farmers and other beneficiaries in different schemes. Chief Minister Chouhan announced to grant approval of Urban Drinking Water Scheme in six wards on the request of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture Bharat Singh Kushwaha.
Giving information about the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Sambal Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Chief Minister Chouhan said that easy availability of health and drinking water is being ensured to the people of the state and the poor people are being given the support of Sambal Yojana.
He informed that purchase of wheat, gram and mustard is being started on support price from March 15. He informed that women self-help groups are being supported financially to make women self-reliant.
Union Agriculture Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given many gifts for the development of Gwalior.
It is a matter of joy for all of us that Gwalior will reach new heights in development works. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving on the path of development. Work is being done for the welfare and development of villages, poor and farmers. Madhya Pradesh has scored more than the state of Punjab in wheat production. Works are being done for the welfare of the people through the Chief Minister’s public welfare schemes including rural irrigation, electricity, education, medical facilities.
Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the history of Gwalior city is connected with Central India. A 5-year roadmap has been made in the presence of Chief Minister Chouhan and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar for the all-round development of this historic city today. He said that the roadmap for development of Gwalior is being made in such a way that along with infrastructural development, tourism can also be promoted.
Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar said that to make Gwalior a model of development, the Chief Minister has prepared an action plan for development of Gwalior by making funds available and providing development works. He said that this day will prove to be a milestone for the all-round development of Gwalior.
