Industrialists call on CM Chouhan for setting up industries

Deliberations on establishment of international mega furniture cluster, toy cluster and antibiotics industries in Indore 
 
Bhopal 22 February 2021: On the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, special initiatives are being taken to make local products and industries more efficient to compete with countries like China under Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh and Vocal for Local. A delegation of local industrialists met in connection with the establishment of international mega furniture cluster and Indore toy cluster and Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Limited, a Government of India enterprise, General Manager Uday Kamath and M. N. Vijay Kumar called on Chief Minister Chouhan at the Mantralaya.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the necessary facilities and approvals for establishment of industries are being given in Madhya Pradesh easily and establishment of new enterprises is being encouraged. He directed to develop infrastructure and provide special facilities as per international standards for the establishment of these industries. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Science and Technology Minister Omprakash Saklecha, Water Resources, Fisheries Welfare and Fisheries Development Minister Tulsi Silawat, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi, departmental officers, Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade were present.

Indore International Mega Furniture Cluster

Development of 'Indore International Mega Furniture Cluster' through S.P.V. is proposed in three to four phases under cluster development scheme at Village Betmakhurd on Dhar Road, 20 km from International Airport near Indore city. It will be developed over 180 hectares i.e. 450 acres.
With the establishment of this cluster, more than 12 thousand employment opportunities will be created. There will be a capital investment of about Rs 750 crore. Estimated annual turnover is likely to be more than Rs 5 thousand crore. The brand value of the city and state will improve internationally. Export prospects will boost up. Also technology, skills and quality will grow up. Employment opportunities for self-help groups will increase as ancillary works for industries will become available. Increase in manufacture will help in price control. Reduction in furniture imports will save foreign exchange.

Indore Toy Cluster

Development of 'Indore Toy Cluster' through S.P.V. is proposed over 3.5 hectare area under cluster development scheme in Rau Rangwasa Industrial Area, Indore. Chief Minister Chouhan has given instructions to provide all necessary support and facilities for cluster establishment.
With the establishment of this cluster, more than three thousand new jobs will be created in the first phase. There is a possibility of capital investment of about 60 crores. The annual turnover will be around Rs 250 crore. Exports will grow globally. As per the policy of the state government, the initiative is being taken for the first time to create a 'toy hub' in Madhya Pradesh. With the establishment of Indore Toy Cluster, children will be able to get toys at low price. Efforts will be made to compete with countries like China by increasing the production of quality toys under the Vocal for Local.

Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd

Officials of the Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited, an enterprise under the Government of India, presented an action plan to establish the industry for the manufacture of medicines. It was informed that 40 acres of land will be required for setting up the unit for the manufacture of medicines with an investment of about 300 crore rupees at Indore and Pithampur and other appropriate places in Madhya Pradesh and more than two thousand jobs will be created.
