All Corona related precautions should be taken in the state

Bhopal 24 February 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that cases of Corona have been increasing in the state since a few days. Hence, all precautions related to Corona should be taken. Masks should be used mandatorily, physical distancing should be maintained, hands should be washed repeatedly, and if there are any symptoms, treatment should be taken immediately. Even slight negligence may be disastrous.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that labourers of border areas should not seek work in other states, they will be provided employment in their villages under MNREGA. Lockdown will not be imposed so that economic activities are not affected in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing Corona situation in all the districts through video conferencing from Mantralaya today. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajaura were present in the meeting.

Special care must in Indore, Bhopal, Betul

Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions that special precautions should be taken in Indore, Bhopal, Betul, Jabalpur, Chhindwara etc. due to increase in Corona cases in these districts. As many as 139 new cases have come in Indore, 70 in Bhopal, 15 in Betul, 14 in Jabalpur and 9 in Chhindwara. Positivity rate in Indore is 6.6 percent and Bhopal 4.5 percent.

Fairs postponed

Fairs in Pachmarhi, Betul, Chhindwara, barwani and the districts adjoining Maharastra border have been postponed due to increase in Corona cases. Also, instructions have been given to take all kinds of precautions there.

Work must be made available in the villages itself

Labourers from the border districts of Balaghat, Seoni, Betul etc. who go to Maharashtra for work every day, Chief Minister Chouhan gave instructions to provide them work in their villages under MNREGA.

Screening of visitors from Maharashtra must

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that screening of people coming from Maharashtra should be conducted at the border of the state. Only Covid negative persons will be given admission in the state.

2270 active cases in the state

The number of active Corona cases in the state has touched 2270. While 344 new cases of Corona have cropped up in the state, 223 patients have recovered. The state’s positivity rate has hiked to 2 percent.

Officers in charge should become alert

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that senior officers in-charge of every district for Corona should become alert. They should constantly monitor the districts in their charge and ensure arrangements for prevention and treatment of Corona.

Awareness must be spread

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that all collectors should conduct awareness campaigns in their districts to protect against Corona. The strategy of ‘Roko-Toko’ should be adopted. People should wear masks and maintain safe distance with each other.

Crisis Management Group should take decision

Chief Minister Chouhan directed the collectors to take decisions related to Corona control in the meeting of Crisis Management Group in their districts. Permission of the state government must be sought in order to impose any type of lockdown or night curfew.

Those above 60 will be vaccinated first

Additional Chief Secretary Suleman said that as per the latest decision of the Government of India, Corona vaccine will be administered first to those who are above the age of 60 – Window to News
