Chinese economy grows 6.9% in Q1
Beijing April 17 (IANS) China s economy grew 6.9 per cent in the first quarter a tenth more than in the last quarter of 2016 according to data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
From January to March 2017 China s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) the total value of goods and services produced amounted to $2.62 trillion Efe news reported.
The Chinese government has set a growth target for the national economy of around 6.5 per cent in 2017 after a target of 6.7 per cent in 2016 the lowest targeted growth for this country since 1990.
