Axis Bank s Q4 net profit down 43%

Mumbai April 26 (IANS) Lending major Axis Bank on Wednesday reported a decline of 43.13 per cent in its net profit for the fourth quarter (Q4) of Fiscal 2016-17.
The company s net profit decreased to Rs 1 225.10 crore from Rs 2 154.28 crore reported in the fourth quarter of 2015-16.
The Bank s net interest income (NII) grew 4 per cent YOY to Rs 4 729 crore during Q4FY17 from Rs 4 553 crore in Q4FY16 the lender said in a statement.
