Devotees Participate in Seva Yatra on its Arrival at Dharmpura

Bhopal: Devotees of Dindori district participated in ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Seva yatra and accompanied it till village Dharmpura today. The yatra has been started by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for conservation of life line of the state Narmada River. The yatra is transformed into a public movement. Enthusiasm is being witnessed among the people towards conservation of Narmada River through seva yatra. Large number of people have emerged to make the yatra successful.

The yatra will take night halt at village Dharmpura. Yatris were accorded grand welcome showering flowers and setting out kalash yatra by the villagers. ‘Har –Har Narmade’ slogans reverberated the atmosphere. Folk dance was performed by the local folk artists. Kalash yatra was set out by women and folk songs were presented amid flower showering.

Seva Yatra has established its image as a successful yatra in the entire world. Many up-yatras came from villages joined the main yatra. Large number of villagers welcomed the yatra on its arrival at village Palki. Information was given to the people regarding Narmada conservation, de-addiction, sanitation, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, education and plantation etc. Also refreshment stalls and drinking water were put up for the convenience of seva yatris. Youth, women, old persons, children, sadhu-sants, public representatives, members of employees organisations in large number beside members of Jan Abhiyan Parishad are participating in yatra to make it successful.-WTN
