Bhopal: Cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today has given approval to the decision to pass the resolution giving a legal status of legal person/living entity to Narmada River in the next assembly session. The approval has been given in order to maintain aquatic bio-diversity linked with the purity and incessant flow of Narmada river identifying its history and beliefs beside ensuring water supply for people’s welfare of the state and other states bordering Madhya Pradesh.
The cabinet has decided that exemptions given to encourage industries and development schemes under stamp charges and registration fee which are different from exemptions given to farmers, students, people living below poverty line and economically weaker section will not be given upfront but to fulfil this the concerned departments will make provisions in their policies and budget.
Moreover, the cabinet gave approval to the balance amount of Rs. 3 lakh 43 thousand 195 spent on medical treatment of heart disease of Late O.P. Sharma grade –II of Public Works Department Vidisha out of the state at Medanta the Medicity Gurgaon.
In compliance to the order of High Court Bench Gwalior, under the Maharajpur Shatabdipuram yojana phase 2 of Gwalior Development Authority, remaining 2.617 hectare land was exempted from diversion tax during execution of city development scheme under the Madhya Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act 1973 on allotment and possession of 1.553 hectare land of village Lakhmipur to authority from the land of Shriram Janki Mandir Trust.-WTN
