Scenario of Narmada Banks Changed After CM Chouhan’s Resolution

Not Only Religious Enrichment, Narmada Yatra will Pave Way for Economic Prosperity  

Bhopal: Changes in scenario on Narmada banks is being witnessed as Narmada Seva yatra being conducted with a resolution for Narmada river’s conservation is moving ahead towards its last destination. This is a result of pledge administered by the Chief Minister Shviraj Singh Chouhan and his call for environment conservation that immersion kunds and changing rooms for women have been constructed on the banks of Narmada River and a sense of sanitation has emerged among the people. Such a scene was witnessed today at Jogi Tikriya Ghat of Dindori district where beside beautification of the bank, cemented chairs, immersion kunds and changing rooms have been constructed for the devotees and walls have been painted displaying messages of sanitation and plantation.

Started from Dharmapura, Narmada yatra on its 135th day reached Jogi Tikriya today covering Kukarwar, Bidaypur and Khamki. All the villagers welcomed the yatra. Pooja of Narmada kalash and flag was performed. Chairman Madhya Pradesh Gou-Samvardhan Board Swami Akhileshwaranand Maharaj, Sadhvi Pragya Bharti and public representatives were present on the occasion. Orators shed light on importance of Narmada river in development of human civilisation and administered pledge towards water conservation to the people.

Swami Akhileshwaranand Maharaj in Jan-Samvad held at Jogi Tikriya said that Maa Narmada’s stuti transmit spiritual and righteous energy. He termed Narmada Seva Yatra a medium to pave way for economic prosperity beside religious enrichment. Narmada river is a lifeline beside a medium of salvation. He informed that a new history will be created by planting saplings on July 2 to make Narmada flow incessant by One crore 50 lakh people simultaneously. Swami Akhilshwaranand Maharaj administered pledge to the people towards sanitation and plantation on the banks of Narmada river.

Sadhvi Pargaya Bharti informed that messages on social concerns like Beti Bachao, de-addiction, and plantation is being given by the yatra. Earlier to this, Maha Aarti of Narmada river beside kalash and flag poojan was performed.

President Jila Panchayat Smt. Jyoti Prakash Dhurve, President Janpad Panchayat Smt. Devvati Valre, Jaisingh Maravi, Collector Amit Tomar, CEO Jila Panchayat Rohit Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Smt. Sunita Rawat, several public representatives besides sadhu-sants and citizens took part in the Maha Aarti.-WTN
