CM Chouhan concludes canoeing championship in Bhind city
Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Gauri Lake in Bhind city will be made beautiful Lake. Chouhan was addressing on concluding the canoeing championship in Gauri Lake of Bhind city today.
CM Chouhan said the state government has increased allocation of the funds for the sports up to Rs 300 crore. The funds have been allocated for sewer project of the Gauri Lake. He said Bhind city has reached 128th rank among the 500 cities in cleanliness. He said the menace of dacoits has been completely eradicated from the Chambal region. The Chambal region will now prosper for which the work plan will be prepared by the district administration. The government will approve this work plan. He said the administration has eradicated copycat mafia in Bhind district.
MLA Narendra Singh Kushwaha said the efforts are being made constantly on the initiative of the CM to take Bhind district to the new heights of development. The Sixth National Dragon Boat Racing Championship 2017 and the 2nd National Interstate Under-16 School Canoe Sprint Championship were organised at Gauri Lake in the district headquarters from May 2 to May 4 2017. The contestants securing first, second and third spots respectively were awarded.
Minister of state for Narmada Valley Development Lal Singh Arya, vice chairman of the Seeds Corporation Munna Singh Bhadauria, MP Dr. Bhagirath Prasad, president of the IKCA Dr. S.M. Hashmi, general secretary Balveer Singh Kushwaha, Municipality chairperson Smt Kalavati Miholia, Sanjeev Kankar, Kok Singh Narvaria, Krishnakanta Tomar, dignitaries and sportsman were present on this occasion.-WTN
