Key Indian equity indices trade in red during afternoon session (Lead)

Mumbai May 5 (IANS) The key Indian equity indices were trading in red during the afternoon session on Friday.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 276.64 points or 0.92 per cent lower during the afternoon trade.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 81.50 points or 0.87 per cent lower at 9 278.40 points.

The Sensex of the BSE which opened at 30 142.14 points was trading at 29 849.57 points (at 1.15 p.m.) lower 276.64 points or 0.92 per cent from the previous day s close at 30 126.21 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 30 176.55 points and a low of 29 844.37 points in the trade so far.
