A different village - free from crime and alcohol

ACS Khandekar participates in Gram Sabha meeting of village Sihoda of Jabalpur district
Bhopal: No sort of crime has been reported since the year 2015 in any police station, in on Gram Panchayat of Jabalpur district. Alcohol prohibition is fully implemented in Panchayat and nobody consumes liquor. This is Sihoda gram panchayat of Jabalpur district and Meerabai Parshuram Patel is its sarpanch.
Special Gram Sabha was held in Sihoda Gram Panchayat under 'Gramoday Se Bharat Uday' campaign. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Khandekar and collector, Jabalpur, Maheshchandra Chaudhary participated in gram sabha. Sarpanch informed that two villages of Gram panchayat are crime-free, addiction-free and open defecation free. Gram panchayat has social harmony and there is no practice like untouchability prevailing there.
Additional Chief Secretary Khandekar appreciated all villagers of Gram Panchayat for this. Khandekar took information about new eligibility slips and availability of ration. He asked to ensure feeding of information on Samgra portal with aadhar seeding after conducting survey in the villages. Additional Chief Secretary also got information about pension being given by the state government. Khandekar underlined a need to form self help groups of women for making them empower economically. He said that banyan and peepal saplings will be planted on both the sides of Gram Panchayat. She has been set up in Muktidham of Gram Panchayat. He also visited fields to see summer crops.-WTN
