Work to Update Information in “Samagra’ Education Portal’s Enrolment Module till May 15

Bhopal: In order to ensure enrolment of children between 5 to 14 years of age, their attendance and their complete primary education, ‘School Chalein Hum’ campaign is being conducted in three phases by the School Education Department. Under the first phase, a survey has been conducted to enrol children in class 2 to 9 pursuing studies in class 1 to 8, children getting admissions in class 1 and children who are not enrolled in the schools. Survey was carried out from April 18 to May 5.
Under the first phase of the campaign, after the survey, a work to update entries in the enrolment module of ‘Samagra’ education portal is being started from May 5 till 15. Team in-charge of Block Source Centre has been entrusted with responsibility to enter the update information. District Education Officers have been told to monitor the complete work. Moreover, under the second phase, a survey will be conducted on children getting admissions in class-1 (New admission), from class 10th to 11th and from class 11th to 12th again visiting house to house. Third phase will be conducted focussing stability in schools beside enrolment in first and second phase and improvement in education quality.
It was clarified in a letter issued by the department that a child should not be held in any class till completion of primary education according to the provision of section -16 of Right to Child Education Act -2009. Moreover, enrolment of children currently studying in class 1st to 8th must be ensured in class 2nd to 9th in academic session 2017-18.-WTN
