7 Percent hike in DA of Government Servants from January 1, 2017

Transfer of Government Servants Possible at State-District Level in June 
Cabinet Decision 

Bhopal: A seven per cent hike in Dearness Allowance/Relief payable to Government Servants/Pensioners//Panchayati Raj Institutions, Adhyapak cadre in local bodies, Panchayat Secretaries of Panchayat and Rural Development Department and permanent employees from January 1, 2017 has been announced at the Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The cash payment of the proposed Dearness Allowance will be made in February-2017.

The Cabinet also decided to pay a seven per cent hike in DA to permanent employees like government servants from September 2016 (payment month October 2016). The payment of the amount will be made in financial year 2017-18.

The Cabinet approved the transfer policy of officers/employees at the state/district level. According to the approved transfer policy the ban on transfers from June 1 to June 30 will be lifted. Under this the applications for voluntary transfers can be made online. In the voluntary transfers, those government servants who have met targets set for the last financial year will be given priority.

In the administrative-based transfers the time-limit of three years will be kept in mind. Government servants who have completed three-year time period will be transferred first, besides those who have not met targets set for the last financial year.

All transfer orders will be released online. After the fixed time limit of release, the salary of the transferred government servant will be disbursed from the new posting place.

Shamgarh-Suwasra Lift Irrigation Project

The Cabinet has given administrative approval of Rs 799 crores 34 lakhs for 40 thousand hectare Rabi irrigation capacity of Shamgarh-Suwasra Lift Irrigation Project. The project will benefit 189 villages of Garoth, Shamgarh and Suwasra development block in Mandsaur district. Drinking water will be provided to 820 villages of Alot development block of Ratlam district and Bhanpura, Garoth, Sitamau, Malhargarh and Mandsaur development block of Mandsaur district.

Amendments in Madhya Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules

The cabinet has decided for amendments in rule 15 of Madhya Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rule 2012. Simplifying the procedure of Rule 15, levy tax has been reduced in diversion of land under the P.S.P. The decision has been taken in compliance to the Chief Minister announcement during Global Investors Summit- Simplifying the rules for Agriculture land in cities under P.S.P i.e. for use of Health, Education, approval will be given within time limit and a token fee will be charge for these works.

Madhya Pradesh Macchua Kalyan Board was constituted. Cabinet gave consent for creation of 18 posts for setup of office.

Encouragement to employment opportunities for unemployed youths of state
The cabinet has made amendments in fixed age limit for direct recruitment in the government services to increase employment opportunities for state’s youths and to protect their interests.

Valid registration of applicants in Employment office of Madhya Pradesh is mandatory for all the posts of grade 3 and 4.-WTN
