Bhopal: Public Relations Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said that all necessary facilities needed to double farmers' income from agriculture have been expanded by making all round development in agriculture in the state. Dr Mishra said this in 'Kisan Sansad' and 'Krishi Mahotsava' in village Majhgawan of Semaria development block of Rewa district. Benefits were distributed to beneficiaries of agriculture schemes on the occasion.
Minister Dr. Mishra said that electricity, water, loan for agriculture beside strong law- order and peace arrangements are required for agriculture development. State government has focused on all. Peace prevailed in dacoits-affected areas. Change is visible everywhere. Farmers were not getting electricity supply regularly before the government of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Electricity is available now for agriculture. Irrigation resources were limited earlier, but now irrigation facilities are expanding multi folds. Permit was required for fertilisers earlier; now Chief Minister himself makes appeal on radio and television that fertilisers are available, before its distribution and tells farmers to lift fertilisers. Farmers are getting agriculture loan at zero interest rate. All possible efforts have been made to double agriculture income and making agriculture a profitable occupation. Positive results have come afore of the efforts.-WTN
