Ultimate Goal of Human Life is Salvation in Bhartiya Sanskriti
Bhopal: 'Narmada Parikrama' is considered incomplete without darshan of 'Kalpavriksha' at village Seoni Sangam of Anooppur district, located on Narmada shores. It is believed by those who perform Narmada Parikrama. It is believed that saints did penance 300 years ago under the 'Kalpavriksha'. The saints are still practicing penance underground.
A woman, Santari Singh, resident of the village informed that wishes are fulfilled after visiting 'Kalpavriksha'. People get salvation because of penance of the saints. Around 15-20 people daily and thousands visit this place on Shivratri and Makar Sankranti.
A 70-year-old villager, who resides near the place, said that he has seen the tree remains the same as today for three generations. The village is in remote area. All villagers make possible arrangements so that people arriving there do not face difficulties and get blessings of Narmada Ji.
The reason behind name of the village - Seoni Sangam- is that a small river Seoni merged into Narmada at the same place. To avoid soil erosion at the banks of the river and causing danger to 'Kalpavriksha' place, retaining wall has been constructed by spending Rs 20 lakh, besides construction of Ghats, changing room, immersion Kund and a Dharmashala. Also, approach roads have been developed.-WTN
