Union Minister Pradhan Distributes Free Gas Connections

Bhopal: Union Minister for Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan distributed free gas connections to 12 women beneficiaries under the Ujjawala Yojana at village Hamirpur of district Datia. Minister for Public Relations Dr. Narottam Mishra was present on the occasion.
Union Minister Pradhan mentioned that lakhs of women lost their lives every year due to illness caused by smoke of traditional chulhas. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Ujjawala Yojana to facilitate women to get rid of smoke. He enjoyed tea prepared first time on the gas stove visiting a house of beneficiary Smt. Gajra Prajapti. He also talked to the beneficiaries and while giving them a pamphlet regarding safety in using gas stove said that they should stick this in the kitchen and always take safety measures.-WTN
