Study group of National Law University, Lucknow takes stock of execution of RERA in State

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is first in the country where rules of Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA) have been published. Along with this, tribunal has been constituted. The RERA has been put in place in the country from May 1. Many states in country are preparing for its execution and constitution of the tribunal.
A study group of National Law University, Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh, recently visited RERA office in Bhopal. The group took detail related with execution of Real Estate Regulation Act. Through RERA Act, arrangements have been made to organise real estate sector and make it more transparent and accountable to the interests of the consumers. Builder and real estate agents have been given online facility for filing application for registration and consumers can lodge online complaints on website www.rera.mp.gov.in. Arrangements have been made to provide information related with redressal of complaints through SMS gateway to consumers on their moblie.
The authority will cover those projects which are proposed for future or incomplete on April 30, 2017 and their completion certificate has not been issued by Municipal Corporation. Getting registration of projects by promoters and developers before marketing has been made mandatory. The present ongoing incomplete real restate projects will be registered within three months with the authority. Besides, promoters and developers will have to submit update information related with projects in every three months and the information carrying photographs will be uploaded on authority's website.-WTN
