Bhopal: Union minister of state for petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan today distributed insurance claim certificates to farmers in Krishi Mandi campus in Datia. Agriculture minister Gaurishankar Bisen chaired the programme. Public Relations, water resources and parliamentary affairs minister Dr Narottam Mishra was present in the programme as special guest. On the occasion, union minister announced that Rs three crore would be sanctioned for Divyang training centre in Datia.
Union minister Pradhan said that farmers will not let to suffer at the time of crisis.
He congratulated for Datia district being the first in the country in claim distribution under agriculture insurance scheme. Today, insurance claim to the tune of Rs 42 crore were distributed to 23 thousand farmers. Agriculture minister Bisen announced to give Rs 2.5 crore for Kisan Bhavan on the demand of public relations minister Dr Narottam Mishra. He distributed grants for agriculture equipment.
Universal IDs were given for four Divyang in the programme.
Public Relations minister Dr Mishra said that the slogan 'Udan Bharta Datia' is materialising. Datia has been the first in preparing ID of Divyang.
Member of Parliament Dr Bhagirath Prasad, chairman of Bundelkhand Development Authority Ramkrishna Kusmaria and MLA Pradip Agrawal were present in the programme. Exhibition of public relations department and other departments were displayed on the occasion.-WTN
