Ensure compliance of announcements within time-limit

Chief Minister Chouhan reviews announcements 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan instructed officials to inspect the announcements made on various occasions and make work-plan to complete it within the time-limit. The follow-up of this work should also be ensured. Chouhan was reviewing the announcements department-wise at the Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary B.P. Singh and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the information about the action taken on the demand letters obtained in the one-to-one discussion with MLAs should be given through letter. He said that an intensive re-inspection of claims obtained under Forest Rights Act should be undertaken so that Vanadhikar Patra can be handed over to eligible Vanvasis. It was told that 2.5 lakh claims in state have been validated out of which vanadhikar patras were distributed to 2 lakh 41 thousand beneficiaries.

Reviewing the announcements of the Urban Administration and Development Department, the Chief Minister said that every city has to be made No. 1. He instructed the Forest Department officials to make arrangements for widespread tree plantation on Omkar Mountains on July 2 in which he himself would also take part. He reviewed announcements related to Public Works, Water Resources, Tribal Welfare, Public Health Engineering and Forest Department.-WTN
