CM performs Mahaarti on completion day at Amarkantak

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan accompanied by his wife performed Mahaarti of Maa Narmada at Ramghat in Amarkantak on the completion day of “Namami Devi Narmade” – Seva Yatra. Mahamandleshwar Avdheshanand Ji also participated in the Mahaarti. Before the Arti, Chouhan carrying the Narmada dhwaj reached Ramghat along with a massive crowd and seers. Smt. Sadhana Singh was carrying the kalash on her head.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Seva Yatra had commenced from Amarkantak with the Mahaarti of Maa Narmada with the blessings of seers. The Yatra took the form of a public movement. Narmada devotees from far-flung areas took part in the Yatra. Every section of the society supported the world’s biggest river conservation movement. He said that Maa Narmada has taken the state towards prosperity and development. The movement has been launched to repay Maa Narmada for her favours. Shri Chouhan said that we are committed towards tree plantation on the banks of the river Narmada. Amarkantak will be transformed into a colossal form. Each promise made during the Narmada Seva would be fulfilled. Mahamandleshwar Swami Avdheshanand also blessed the gathering.
Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar, Public Works Minister Rampal Singh, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Omprakash Dhurve and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sanjay Pathak, seers, Narmada Sevaks and general public took part in the Mahaarti.
