Bhopal: Tribal Research and Development Institute, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal has been chosen for tribal development along with other selected prestigious institutes of the country for suggestions and research on social development. The Tribal Research and Development has signed a contract with the NITI Aayog as its partner in the first meeting of “Samavesh” held in New Delhi. The Institute will work on suggestions and policy fixation facts in future. Principal Secretary Scheduled Caste-Tribal Welfare Ashok Shah took part in the meeting.
It may be noted that the NITI Aayog has constituted a steering group by the name “Samavesh” to make a 3-year, 7-year and 15-year work-plan for the making of India by year 2022. The group will work on economic-social and infrastructural development, natural resources and environment, science and technology, administrative reforms, defence studies and security. The NITI Aayog has signed the contract with subject experts of prominent national-level institutes for research and to give suggestions on all these subjects.-WTN
