Bhopal: Forests, planning, economic and statistics minister Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar, public health and family welfare minister Rustam Singh and animal husbandry, fisheries, cottage and rural industries and environment minister Antar Singh Arya expressed deep grief on demise of Union Minister of State for environment, forests and climate change (independent charge) Anil Madhav Dave.
Forests minister Dr Shejwar said that late Dave was son of Narmada in real sense. He dedicated his life to Narmada and service to the river. It was not felt on May 9 in Khetgaon of Anooppur district during 'Namami Devi Narmade' - Seva Yatra that we would lose not the state but country's such a big environmentalist so soon. Son of Narmada will rest in peace in mother's lap for ever.
Health minister Rustam Singh said that late Dave was a skilled organiser, administrator, manager and strategist. He played very important role in establishing present government. Whatever he did was for environment, the society and the country. He did not want anything for him. In his will, he wrote that people should plant saplings, protect them and do not quote his name while doing so. May God give peace to his soul.
Environment minister Antar Singh Arya said that at the time, when the country and the world need such environmentalist, his sudden demise is shocking. He not only had concern for Narmada, river, environment but he also executed his plans. It is not coincidence that working lifelong for forests, environment, climate change, Dave was serving the country as a minister of same departments. May God give peace to his soul.-WTN
