Appeal in revenue cases should be made within time limit

Bhopal: Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh instructed all collectors to make appeals in revenue cases within time limit. Chief Secretary said that in case the appeal is not made within time limit disciplinary action be taken against concerned officers after deciding the responsibility. Chief Secretary also instructed commissioners and collectors to conduct regular inspections of the revenue courts. He also told them to ensure redressal of maximum cases of demarcation before monsoon. Chief Secretary instructed the district collectors to comply with the provisions of the Explosives Act and for its physical verification. Instructions to make work plan for disaster management and to mark spots from where help can be sought of the Army and Air Force in times of need were also given at the Parakh video conference.

Giving information on the computerisation of revenue courts, Principal Secretary Revenue Arun Pandey issued instructions to pace up land acquisition cases for railway line, energy, defence establishments of national importance. Reviewing aadhar seeding of PDS data, Principal Secretary Food K.C. Gupta told the collectors that foodgrain will be distributed only after biometric verification from July onwards. Principal Secretary S.N. Mishra instructed collectors to notify the roads for Chief Minister’s Rural Transport Scheme. Home Secretary D.P. Gupta gave information about the instruction of September 13, 2015 regarding Explosives Act 1984 and Explosives Act 1908 and Explosives Rules 2008.

Reviewing irrigation schemes Chief Secretary instructed that taking the need of 6000 hectare revenue land in the state into account marked land should be reserved. A joint team of the Forest and Revenue Department should inspect the land so that land is allotted for compensatory tree plantation for under construction and proposed projects of the Forest Department. Among other schemes reviewed during the meeting are drinking water transport, handpump maintenance and Nal-Jal Yojana, Tendu Patta collection payments, updated information of National Population Register, Chief Minister’s Solar Pump Scheme, Aadhar registration status in schools and pension schemes.

Stern action should be taken on illegal sand mining

Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh instructed district collectors to take stern action to stop illegal mining of sand on the banks of the Narmada. He also instructed to seize machines and vehicles being used for the illegal mining.

The Chief Secretary said that massive tree plantation has to be undertaken on July 2. Preparations to make work plans should begin in all districts and support from all quarters should be taken for this work. Construction of water infrastructure and restoration work should also be started in every district. All districts should send report of the redressal of applications obtained in Gramoday Abhiyan to the government.
