Maintenance work of roads should be done on priority: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 14 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work of maintenance of roads in the state should be done on priority. Roads should be kept clean in rainy season. He said that where repairs are required, immediate repairs should be made. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing road maintenance works at his residence today. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Nikunj Srivastava and senior officers of the concerned departments were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that keeping the roads clean is the priority of the state government. Quality care should be taken in the patchwork of roads. He said that special care should be taken to ensure that the road does not crumble soon after repair work. Roads should be maintained properly. Chief Minister Chouhan said that maintenance of roads in urban and rural areas should be ensured. Dedication of roads, bhoomi-pujan programmes should be conducted.

Instructions were issued to conduct Nagarodaya programme in the entire state on May 17 for the launching of Amrit-2. Chief Minister Chouhan will participate in the main Nagaroday programme in Bhopal and virtually address the programmes of other urban areas. Maximum people of urban areas of the state will be included in the programme and information will be given about the plans and development works of the cities.
