Bhopal 07 July 2022: A meeting of the Industrial Corridor Monitoring Authority was held today under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. Chief Ministers of 6 states, including the Union Minister of Railways and Industries, virtually participated in the meeting. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan virtually joined the meeting from Jabalpur.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ remarkable vision, 11 industrial corridors are going to be built in the country, which will work to change the fate and picture of the states. Prime Ministers vision gives direction and strives to work at a fast pace. The Chief Minister said that the presentation of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor has shown that Madhya Pradesh has worked at a fast pace. He expressed the commitment of development in Madhya Pradesh to realize the dream of the Prime Minister and said that 202 acres of land has been allotted to Vikram Udyogpuri. In this, 20 industrialists have also taken land and many have started work. Expressing happiness, he said that a company will start production in November. Chief Minister Chouhan said that applications of 15 companies have been received, to which land will be allotted very soon. Chief Minister Chouhan said that no stone will be left unturned in the development of Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain. Industrialists will have not face any difficulty.

Madhya Pradesh is an investor friendly state anyway. He said that continuous efforts have been made for industrial development even during the Covid period, so that the pace of investment does not stop. He assured the Delegation of Power that he would complete the task immediately. In connection with the Delhi-Nagpur corridor, the Chief Minister said that the work of Atal Expressway is being started in 330 km under Bharatmala project in the area of ​​Madhya Pradesh from where it will emerge. The work of developing industrial corridors on both sides has also been started. A plan has also been prepared to give land to industrialists. For this, 11 thousand acres of land has been identified.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the vision of the Prime Minister for industrial development in Madhya Pradesh will be fulfilled earnestly by working on various projects within a time-limit. He told to prepare the proposal of Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor on priority. With this, industries can be brought in Agra, Morena, Gwalior, Guna, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Betul and Nagpur in a better way. He said that the work of giving land has been started by identifying different clusters at many places in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that apart from Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor, Varanasi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor has been proposed, in which it has been told that eastern Madhya Pradesh has abundant mineral resources like aluminium, coal and other minerals. If East Madhya Pradesh is connected with West then better road connectivity and market will be developed in the region. The Chief Minister said that work will be done in Madhya Pradesh within a stipulated time frame.
