Bengal No.1 in rural job scheme: Mamata

Kolkata June 3 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the state ranks No.1 in the country in the rural job guarantee scheme for financial year 2015-16 as per a central government announcement.

We are No.1 in the country in 100-days work on convergence and livelihood augmentation for financial year 2015-16 as per announcement of the Ministry of Rural Development Government of India yesterday Banerjee said in a Facebook post.

The Trinamool Congress supremo added: Also among the districts in the country for awards under various categories of 100-days work are our Nadia and Coochbehar districts.
