Thandla to be relieved of poverty: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today dedicated a barrage constructed on Padmavati river at a cost of Rs 486.00 lakh under Chief Minister’s Urban Drinking Water Scheme, performed bhoomi-pujan of C.C Road being constructed at a cost of Rs 179.00 lakh in the district under Panch Parmeshwar Yojana and R.C.C nullah contruction work at a cost of Rs 107.37 lakh in different wards of the city under Chief Minister’s Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme in Thandla.

Addressing the beneficiaries meeting at Thandla, Chief Minister Chouhan lauded the residents of Thandla and the administrative team for freeing Thandla block from open defecation and announced to free the block from poverty soon. He said that to rid Thandla block from poverty, every family will be provided with a pucca house, a gas connection and income of Rs 10,000 per month. Each family will connected with such activities for means of livelihood that they will be freed from the clutches of poverty and will be able to contribute in the development of state and the country by joining the mainstream of development.

Chief Minister Chouhan distributed benefits to the beneficiaries and also welcomed tadvi/patel with garlands on stage for working dedicatedly for bringing about social change.

Chief Minister Chouhan reached Chainpura village of Meghnagar block to inspect Valmiki gaushala. He applied tilak on gaumata and performed puja after adorning it with garlands at the gaushala. The Chief Minister inaugurated the plantation work by planting a jackfruit sapling on the mountains.

CM visits MLA Bhabhar’s family

Chief Minister Chouhan reached Thandla Vidhan Sabha constituency MLA Kalsingh Bhabhar’s ancestral village Chainpura and expressed his condolences over the untimely demise of Bhabhar’s son due to heart attack and prayed to God to grant strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.-WTN
