Industry Minister Shukla administered oath of environment protection
Bhopal: Commerce-Industry and Employment and Mineral Resources Rajendra Shukla said in a Paryavaran Jan-Jagaran Sangoshthi organized on International Environment Day at Shahdol today that the need of the hour is to keep the Earth clean, beautiful and protected. He said that it is the duty of all citizens that they understand the importance of environment, plant saplings, promote water conservation and water, protect and restore ponds and make persistent efforts for environment conservation. Shukla said a sapling plantation campaign will be launched on July 2 in state. All citizens must take part in the campaign and make it a success.
Rajendra Shukla said at the Paryavaran Jan-Jagran Sangoshthi that there is need to make environment conservation a public movement. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took part in the 115-day long Narmada Seva Yatra, told people about the importance of river conservation and inspired them to promote and conserve the river make them aware about river conservation, which has brought expected results. He said that Madhya Pradesh government has now decided for Narmada conservation that no machine will work for sand extraction between Amarkantak and Jhabua. He said that about 1600 places have been selected for tree plantation in Shahdol district where saplings will be planted. Work plan for restoration of all ponds in Shahdol district has been prepared. MLA Smt. Pramila Singh and Jaisingh Marawi also addressed the seminar.
