CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan blesses newly-wed couples

Mukhya Mantri Vivah/Nikah and Krishi Vigyan Mela concludes in Baktara  

Bhopal: The Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah and Krishi Vigyan Mela 2017 concluded here in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Baktara village of Budhni tehsil in Sehore district on June 8. Total 95 vivah and 2 nikahs were conducted. Chief Minister attended the baraat along with his wife. He welcomed the bridegrooms with flower shower.

The Chief Minister blessed the newly-wed couples and gave them information about government’s welfare schemes. He said that the works undertaken by the state for welfare of farmers has never been done in history. He said onions are being purchased at Rs 8 per kg. From June 10, Tuar will be purchased at Rs 5,050, Moong at Rs 5,225 and Urad at Rs 5,000 per quintal.

Earlier, Chief Minister Chouhan dedicated the newly-constructed Girls Higher Secondary School built at a cost of Rs 123 lakhs. He announced that from next year, the college will launch Science Stream.

Among those who were present at the programme were Minister in charge Rampal Singh, MARKFED Chairman Ramakant Bhargav, Warehousing Corporation Chairman Rajendra Singh Rajput, Forest Development Corporation Chairman Guru Prasad Sharma, Rajya Vanopaj Sangh Vice Chairman Ramnarayan Sahu and District Panchayat President Smt.
