With expansion of air services, products of Gwalior-Chambal zone will reach all over the world: Amit Shah
Gwalior, Oct 16 (WTN): Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has said that with the construction of state-of-the-art airport in Gwalior, while air services will be expanded, with the construction of cargo terminal, import and export of the products of small, micro and medium industries of Gwalior and Chambal regions will be facilitated all over the world.. This will create new employment opportunities and increase economic activities. Gwalior-Chambal zone will develop rapidly. Shah on Sunday was addressing the foundation laying of expansion work of new building of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Air Terminal and Gwalior airport at a cost of about Rs 446 crore, dedication and foundation laying of tap-water schemes and griha pravesh of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana samaroh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over the function.
Amit Shah and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other guests unveiled the pattika with remote and laid the foundation stone for the airport expansion work. Griha Pravesh of 1458 beneficiaries of the district was performed under the Prime Minister’s Rural and Urban Housing Scheme. He symbollically handed over the keys of the house to Shri Harendra Singh Bhagoria, resident of Jakhara village and Smt. Seema Saxena, resident of Mahalgaon. The Union Home Minister also laid the foundation stone and dedicated tap-water schemes costing Rs 4,300 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift in the form of airport for the planned development of Gwalior. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has carefully prepared the roadmap for the construction of a state-of-the-art airport. We are confident that the new airport at Gwalior will establish itself as the best airport in the country.
Union Home Minister Shah said that cultural upliftment of India is also taking place along with all-round development under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the country, the dream of every poor to own a house is being realized. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh government is constructing houses for the needy under the scheme at a fast pace as per the intention of Prime Minister Modi. The state government is working with full commitment to provide tap water to the poorest of the poor under the “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal” program. The speed of road construction has more than tripled from earlier. Similarly, in the first one year only 375 km of railway line could be laid, now 1458 km of railway line is being laid every year. The government has increased the agriculture budget from Rs 27 thousand crores to one lakh 24 thousand crores.
The Union Home Minister said that keeping in mind the difficult Corona period, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked for two and a half years to provide free ration to 80 crore needy people of the country. The government has also provided 224 crore free Corona vaccine to the people. In his speech, Shah saluted the bravery of Shivaji Maharaj and Maratha Veer Mahadji Scindia. He also remembered Rajmata Late Vijayaraje Scindia and Kushabhau Thackeray.
