Bhopal: State government has constituted a single-member probe commission for probe into the incident of death of five persons due to use of force over agitators in the violence during the agitation on June 6, 2017 in Mandsaur district. The single-member probe commission will complete its inquiry within three months from the date of publication in the Madhya Pradesh gazette of the notification of its formation presided over by Retired High Court Judge J.K. Jain and present it to the state government. The headquarters of the Commission shall be at Indore.
The Probe Commission will probe five points. These points include (1) Circumstances under which the incident took place. (2) Whether the force used by police was reasonable under prevailing circumstances or not? If not who is responsible for it? (3)Whether district and police administration had taken proper and timely and appropriate steps during the then prevailing circumstances and incidents. (4) Suggestion to stop repetition of such incident in future (5) Such other matters which are incidental to inquiry.-WTN
