Adarsh Kisan Bazaar to be developed in state for facilitating farmers to sell their produce directly

Bhopal: Adarsh Kisan Bazaar will be developed in the state to provide facility to farmers to sell their produce directly. Village knowledge centres will be set up for sending right and scientific information to farmers regarding crops. Land for development projects won't be taken without farmer's consent and amendment will be brought in the law in this regard. This information was given in a meeting taken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to review farmers-friendly announcements made on June 11 last. Execution on these announcements has begun.
 
Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions in the meeting that execution on announcements made in the interest of farmers should be made speedily. Order in this regard should be issued immediately. All ministers will review the announcement in their departments. After one week, he will review again. Onion procurement should be continuesly monitored.

 It was informed in the meeting that Kisan Bazaar will be opened in all urban bodies and development blocks. Farmers will directly sell their produces like fruits, vegetables there. Urban administration and development department in urban bodies and rural development department will open Kisan Bazaar in rural areas.

Farmers will sell their produce fruits and vegetables in the mandis where auction is not being made. Cooperative committees will operate the markets. Village knowledge centres will be opened for provide accurate and scientific information to farmers regarding crops from block level to village level. Agriculture department is preparing in this regard. Farmers will be given meteorological information, crop prospects and land use by these centres.
 
It was informed that outline for price stabilization fund has been framed. Order has been issued in this regard. Price of the produces will be made decided which do not have support price announced by the central government. Farmers will be reimbursed compensation in case of lower price than the price announced. Preparations for constitution Agriculture produce Cost and Marketing Commission have been made. Cost of agriculture produce will be decided in the commission.

The commission will have six members. Apart from chairman, farmer, agriculture economist and non-government members will be part of the commission. They will have two-year tenure. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked to issue order immediately for the commission.

 The crops, of which minimum support price has been announced, will not be purchased on price lower than the support price. Procurement of summer moong, tuar, urad has started on the support price. Chief Minister Chouhan said that district collectors have been instructed to open additional procurement centres where there is a need. Survey has begun for compensation of private properties, shops etc. being damaged in farmers' stir. Compensation will be provided for the properties not have insurance cover. Chief Minister Chouhan asked for speedy survey. Similarly, process has started for deciding milk price on the basis of Amul Dairy Model. Chief Minister Chouhan issued instruction to study the model.

Farmer's land won't be taken for development projects without his consent. Process has begun to amend laws in this regard. Copy of Khasra-Khatoni will be given to farmers once in a year without charge. Revenue department will launch a drive by August 15 to provide the copy of Khasra-Khatoni to 3.60 crore account holder farmers. Samadhan Yojana is being framed for defaulter farmers so that they can be eligible to take loan again. Order has been issued by Cooperatives Department about one term loan for rabi and kharib seasons. Madhya Pradesh is the first state to take such historical decisions in farmers' interest. Ministers, Chief Secretary and all Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of all concerned departments were present in the meeting.-WTN
