Fee for Higher Education Institutes to be Borne by Government on Securing over 75 Marks in 12th Exam
Bhopal: Now fee of talented students to pursue higher studies after 12th class will be borne by the state government. Benefit of ‘Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana’ will be availed by students securing 75 percent marks or above in examination conducted by M.P. Board of Secondary Education or securing 85 percent marks and above in 12th examination conducted by C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. The total income of the students’ parents should be less than Rs. 6 lakh per annum. Aadhar number of students is must to avail benefit of the scheme.
Engineering: Assistance will be provided to the students securing up to 50 thousand rank in J.E.E. Mains and on getting admission in government and non-government engineering colleges. Full fee (Except Mess Charges and Caution Money) will be provided and Rs. One lakh 50 thousand or actual charges (incorporated by Fee Committee, except Mess charges and Caution money) whichever is less will be paid by the government under the private college fee.
Medical: Benefit of the scheme will be given on getting admission for M.B.B.S. through National Eligibility and Entrance Test in any government medical colleges and private medical colleges of M.P. Full fee of Government College and payable charges of private college will be paid by the government.
Minister of State for Technical Education (Independent Charge) Shri Deepak Joshi informed that doctors educated from government medical college will be bound for 2 years service in rural areas. They will have to fill a bond of Rs. 10 lakh. The period for students of private colleges will be of 5 years and a sum of bond will be Rs. 25 lakh.
Law: Full fee for law course from any National Law University of the country through CLAT after 12th class will be borne by the government.
Moreover, full fee of all the courses like B.Sc., B.A., B.Com, Nursing, Polytechnic and courses of undergraduate level of all the colleges will be paid by the government. Complete fee of students of government institutes will be deposited in the bank account of the institute. Payable charges for students of private institutes will be deposited in the bank accounts of the students.
The scheme being introduced from academic session 2017-18 will be implemented by Directorate of Technical Education. The scheme will be implemented through portal www.scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in.-WTN
