Awareness towards education in SC/ST category

Bhopal: Addressing a meeting of the governing body of Dr. B. R Ambedkar National University of Social Sciences, Mhow today Governor Om Prakash Kohli said that this university is moving fast towards success in its objectives.

Awareness towards social upliftment and education has been created among women, SC/ST, Backward Class through educational activities and awareness campaign of the university. He said to the members at the meeting of the University governing body that they should tour other states and backward areas and make efforts to help other states avail the benefits of the university programme so that scheduled case, scheduled tribe, backward class and women are also able to avail benefits of the works undertaken by the university.

Members of the governing body including Principal Secretary to Governor Dr. M. Mohan Rao, Principal Secretary Higher Education Ashish Upadhyay, Finance Secretary Aniruddh Mukherji, University Chancellor. R.S. Kureel, Chairman of Indian Council of Social Science Research B.B. Kumar, Professor Nayak and Professor D.K Verma, Registrar Dr. B Bharti etc. were present.

Governor Kohli expressed the hope that the university will work for the upliftment of people in not only the state but also other backward areas of the country. The Governor said that the university is pushing the work of skill development of Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council and PMKY Yojana so that people get employment opportunities.

University Chancellor Dr. R.S. Kureel presented the progress report of the university. It was decided at the meeting to present the amended statutes presented by the university again.-WTN
